"Land"
2x4 ft.
Oil on Wood
July 2009

I wanted to show the different planes of the earth and how all colors come right up against each other. I also wanted to show something as simplistic and natural as a landscape can also be the most beautiful.

"Sky"
2x4 ft.
Oil on Wood
July 2009

I like to leave the grain of the wood show through to represent not only the color of the earth but also the wood itself as being natural.

"Tall Tree"
Oil on Wood
2x4 ft.
August 2009

"Our job, is to keep doing our work. If we are the last people on Earth, we can still be kind and we can still be happy. We can still be helpful. For, even if all the trees on the earth are dying and we know that it is our last day on the planet, our job is to keep planting trees."-Plant Seed, Pull Weed.

"Inner Peace"
Oil on Wood
2x4 ft
January 2009

This painting is very calming and I wanted to show the purest beauty of Gods creation. After I finished I realized the top rock-like formations resemble angels and the bottom animals climbing the hills resemble us on our journey in life. The angles are looking down on us but always there to help. Often I find symbolism I never intended when I began the painting, but after looking at it, it seems to appear as if from nowhere.
